No. 2 Indiana takes care of Purdue in front of a sold crowd of 17,222 at Simon Skjdot Assembly hall to clinch a part of the Big Ten title 83 – 60. Mackenzie Holmes led the Hoosiers with 20 points and seven rebounds. All five of Indiana’s starters scored in double digits as the team continues to show why they could have a deep run in the NCAA tournament.
Before the tipoff, Indiana honored seniors Grace Berger, and Alyssa Geary. Grace was asked in the post-game interview how she felt about her senior day and last game at Assembly Hall. Grace said she tried not to think about it too much right now, or she would have been kind of sad. Berger mentioned that even though the job is not done, it was nice to go out cutting down the nets since she had worked on that goal since her freshman year.
Up next for Indiana is their last game of the regular season, as they will head to Iowa next Sunday with a 2 pm tipoff.
