COLUMBUS, IN — In front of a packed crowd at Max Andress Field on Friday night, Columbus North turned a halftime tie into a decisive 42-14 victory over Columbus East.

The Bull Dogs (2-0) scored 28 unanswered points in the second half, shutting out the Olympians over the final two quarters to earn their sixth consecutive victory over Columbus East.

North’s defense was the difference after halftime, holding East to just 70 yards in the second half and forcing six turnovers. East (0-2) committed six turnovers for the second consecutive week.

The Bull Dogs will look to remain unbeaten when they travel to face the Marion Giants (0-2) on Friday, Sept. 4. Columbus East will seek its first win when it hosts Seymour (0-2) in Hoosier Hills Conference action.
