Balanced Attack Lifts Michigan Wolverines Women’s Gymnastics Past Clemson

The Michigan Wolverines women’s gymnastics delivered a strong all-around performance on March 6, defeating the Clemson Tigers 197.225–196.975 at Crisler Center in Ann Arbor.

Michigan opened the meet on vault with a 49.075 and steadily built momentum throughout the night. The Wolverines posted their best rotation on beam, scoring a meet-high 49.450 to take control heading into the final event. They closed the meet on floor with a 49.400 to secure the victory.

Several Wolverines delivered standout routines. Carly Bauman paced Michigan with a pair of 9.950 scores on uneven bars and floor exercise, while Jahzara Ranger matched that mark with a 9.950 on balance beam. Sophia Diaz added a strong 9.925 on floor, and Quincy Walters and Kayli Boozer each contributed key 9.900 routines on beam to anchor the rotation.

Clemson kept the meet tight throughout, highlighted by a 49.425 on floor exercise and a 9.925 routine from Brie Clark. Trinity Brown also turned in a 9.925 on uneven bars as the Tigers pushed Michigan into the final rotation.

In the end, Michigan’s depth and consistency across all four events proved the difference, lifting the Wolverines to a 197.225 team total and a home victory in Ann Arbor.
