Indiana Advances in the Tournament

The first matchup of the tournament featured a battle between No. 12 Nebraska and No. 13 Indiana, setting the tone for an intense week of competition. Both teams opened with strong defensive pressure, but Nebraska quickly found its rhythm on the offensive end, moving the ball with precision and breaking through Indiana’s coverage for early scoring opportunities.
Indiana tightened its defense late in the first quarter, slowing Nebraska’s momentum and cutting off several potential scoring drives. Still, the Cornhuskers maintained control, heading into halftime with a commanding 45–28 lead.
Indiana emerged from the break with renewed energy, attacking aggressively and elevating its defensive intensity. Their improved play helped narrow the gap by the end of the third quarter, setting up a more competitive finish. With only 1:06 remaining, Indiana’s #5 Lenee Beaumont buried a 25-foot three pointer, that nudged the Hoosier into the lead.
In the end Indiana dominated the court closing out the game, winning 72-69 securing a spot in the next round.
