Purdue gets a close win vs Indiana

The Purdue Boilermakers squeaked by the Indiana Hoosiers 81-76 Friday night at Mackey Arena. Purdue’s Trey Kaufman-Renn made the go-ahead basket with just 11 seconds left to secure the win. Braden Smith had a great performance with 24 points, and Trey Kaufman-Renn added 23 points. Indiana was led by Mackenzie Mgbako who scored 25 points.

The two teams battled back and forth with six lead changes in the final four minutes. Indiana was leading by seven points at halftime, but turnovers and mental mistakes proved costly in the end.
