The Jaguars came out strong, stunning the home crowd by taking the first set. Behind a balanced and efficient offensive attack that hit a blistering .414, IU Indy capitalized on late-set errors by the Boilermakers to close it out 25-22. However, the Boilermakers quickly regrouped, narrowly winning the second set by the same score. This back-and-forth battle set the stage for the rest of the match, as Purdue’s offense began to find its rhythm and overpower the Jaguars.

Purdue’s offensive momentum continued to build in the third and fourth sets. The Boilermakers were nearly flawless, committing only one attack error in each of the final two sets. This offensive efficiency, paired with a stout defensive presence at the net, allowed them to pull away from IU Indy. Purdue recorded five total blocks in the third set alone and tied a season-high with 12 total blocks in the match, ultimately suffocating the Jaguars’ attack and sealing the match victory.

The Boilermakers’ win was a true team effort, but several key players stood out. Outside hitter Kenna Wollard led the team with an impressive 20 kills, while Jillian Tippmann paced IU Indy with 17 kills. On the defensive end, Purdue’s Dior Charles was a force, contributing six total blocks. The Boilermakers also received a strong performance from setter Taylor Anderson, who dished out 37 assists. The win was a perfect end to non-conference play, giving Purdue momentum as they now prepare to open Big Ten play.
