Fishers Beats Noblesville for the Sectional Championship

The #1 Fishers Tigers beat the #2 Noblesville Millers 49-47 to win the Sectional 8 Championship. The Sectional was played in Noblesville gym and was the third straight sellout in the tournament. Both teams performed well but it came down to a few missed free throws that kept Noblesville behind in the end.  Jason Gardner Jr. passed the ball to Parker Perdue for the easy layup with 3.8 seconds to go which proved to be the game winning shot. Noblesville inbounded the ball and Aaron Fine ran down the court and got an easy layup as time expired to tie the game, but the referee stopped play saying Noblesville called timeout. Coach Scott McClelland said no one called timeout. The referees said one of the assistant coaches yelled timeout After a few minutes of discussion Noblesville took the ball out with 3.8 to go in the game. Noblesville guard Aaron Fine had a clean shot with 0.5 left but it messed.
