Louisville, KY – The 2024 USA Gymnastics Winter Cup left us with some surprises and some disappointments. The Florida Gators were dominate in the senior women’s elite class, taking three of the four overall positions, including Kayla DiCello with the gold. It also saw the much awaited return of Trinity Thomas, who would come home fourth. The biggest disappoint of the day was with the biggest name in the event, Suni Lee, the 2020 Olympic all-around champion and uneven bars bronze medalist. Her return looked a little shaky coming back from injury and saw her fall twice from the uneven bars and once off the beam, her only two events on the day. But there was plenty of support from the fans and many stuck around afterwards to take photos and get autographs.
