No. 6 Indiana Leans on Veteran Leadership to Defeat Nebraska 72-65

The lady Hoosiers leaned on their veteran leadership as their leading scorer, and All-American Mackenzie Holmes was ruled out of the game with a knee injury to defeat Nebraska 72-65. How long Holmes’ will be out is still unknown. With Holmes’s absences in the starting lineup, Kiandra Browne got her first start for the Hoosiers. Indiana used their experience to win their fifth straight Big Ten game of the season. Grace Berger led all scorers with 22 points, Aleksa Gulbe pumped in 17 points before fouling out, and Nicole Cardano finished 13. Next for the Indiana women’s basketball team is a match-up against Purdue in West Lafayette on Sunday with a 2 pm tipoff.
