Fuel’s Connor Moynihan recalled by IceHogs

The American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs announced Wednesday that they have recalled forward Connor Moynihan from the ECHL’s Indy Fuel.

Moynihan, 21, leads all Fuel rookie forwards with five points in eight games played, tallying three goals, two assists and a team-leading +5 rating alongside 11 penalty minutes. The native of Windham, N.H. leads all ECHL first-year players with a pair of shorthanded goals, tallying his second of the season Saturday night as part of a two-point performance in Wheeling. Prior to turning pro, Moynihan spent five seasons with the Halifax Mooseheads of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL), scoring 68 goals and 65 assists in 310 career QMJHL contests.

Indy is back in action Friday night as they begin a home-and-home doubleheader with the Cincinnati Cyclones at U.S. Bank Arena. The Fuel return to Indiana Farmers Coliseum on Saturday as they conclude the two-game series on Pucks & Paws Night.
