The American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs announced Sunday that they have recalled defensemen Neil Manning and Josh McArdle from the ECHL’s Indy Fuel. The IceHogs finish a two-game set with the Iowa Wild this afternoon in Des Moines, Iowa.
Manning, 27, is tied for the Fuel’s scoring lead among defensemen with two goals and four assists in nine games played. The native of Nanaimo, British Columbia has found the scoresheet in four of his last five games, recording a goal and seven shots Friday during Indy’s loss in Fort Wayne. The third year professional spent the previous two season skating in Italy’s Alps Hockey League (AlpsHL), collecting 56 points (11g, 45a) in 78 total games with Cortina and Fassa.
McArdle, 24, recorded his first point of the season with an assist in Indy’s loss to Idaho on Tuesday.
