Mad Ants close out 2023 with win over Birmingham

As 2023 came to a close, Indiana Mad Ants hosted the Birmingham Squadron, looking to end the year with a three-game win streak while the Birmingham Squadron looked for their first win of the season.  

There was a notable presence of aggression displayed in today’s games, which was evident from both teams and observed on both sides of the ball. The Indiana Mad Ants and the Birmingham Squadron exerted utmost effort and intensity throughout the game. 

It didn’t take long for the Mad Ants to take an early lead, which they managed to maintain for most of the game. Nevertheless, the Birmingham Squadron challenged the Mad Ants, making them work hard to preserve their lead. At halftime the score was 62-58. 

Entering the second half Birmingham would continue to close the point gap against the Mad Ants. The Squadron’s Trey Jemison had a double double as did the Mad Ant’s Oscar Tshiebwe.  The two teams would continue to play as hard as they could, however in the end the Mad Ants would come out on top with a final score of 132-127.
