Purdue Defeats Auburn at the Indy Classic

The Purdue Boilermakers defeated the #21 Auburn Tigers 88-60 on Saturday evening in the second game at the Indy Classic. The game was held at Gainbridge Fieldhouse and the vibe looked like a game at Makey Arena. The #6 Boilermakers looked at ease defeating Auburn with Trey Kaufman-Renn leading Purdue in scoring with 18 points. In the first half Purdue shot 61% from the floor. CJ Cox had 12 points in the first half to set the tone of the game.

The Purdue inside game was too much for Auburn scoring 40 points in the paint and having 15 second chance points. Defensively, Purdue had 7 steals and blocked five shots. Purdue pushed their lead up to 29 in the second half and look to move up in the rankings.

Purdue will face Kent State on December 29 at Makey Arena.
