LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky gymnastics officially opened its 2026 season this past Sunday with its annual Blue White Meet inside the Historic Memorial Coliseum. The intrasquad event gave Big Blue Nation its first look at the Wildcats’ 2026 squad, as gymnasts competed their full routines across all four events.

The Wildcats returned 11 gymnasts from last season’s regional finalist team, including all-around standout Delaynee Rodriguez and All-American Creslyn Brose. Kentucky also showcased eight newcomers, highlighted by 2025 USA Gymnastics DP National beam champion Gabby Van Frayen, as the meet served as an early preview of the team’s potential.

The upcoming home schedule features five meets, including Excite Night on January 16th against Arizona State, as well as four Southeastern Conference matchups against Oklahoma, Missouri, Georgia, and Florida. This season, Kentucky will also host one of four regional competitions during the 2026 NCAA Women’s Gymnastics Championships. The Lexington Regional is scheduled for April 2–5 at Historic Memorial Coliseum.
