Purdue makes it to the National Championship Game

Lance Jones and the Boilermakers advance to the National Championship Game.

The Boilermakers defeated North Carolina State on Saturday evening 63-50 to advance to the National Championship Game on Monday night. Zach Edey scored 20 points and had 12 rebounds and looked human in the game. NC State slowed him down but ultimately could not stop him. Lance Jones hit a key 3-pointer in the second half and finished the game with 14 points.

It was their defense that played a big factor in holding NC State down. NC State’s big man DJ Burns scored 8 points and had one rebound in the contest. During a seven-minute span in the second half, NC State had only 4 points and Purdue took advantage of that time expanding their lead to go on to victory.

Purdue will be playing for its second National Championship in school history on Monday Night.
