#3 Purdue Falls Short in Ann Arbor

Tough Loss for Trevion Williams and the Boilermakers.

Purdue had a tough night in Michigan on Thursday night. This was game six for Purdue in 13 days and they looked like it. Purdue looked physically and mentally out of it all night. The game was tied at 24 at the 7:30 mark of the 1st half and then Michigan turned it on to go on to win 82-58.

Michigan was on fire all night and ready for this game at home. All five of their starters scored in double figures and their three-point shooting was at 57.1% for the night. Michigan also out rebounded Purdue 35-25.

Jaden Ivey had 18 points and tried to help keep Purdue on pace, but it was not enough. The team shot 4 for 18 from three-point land and just could not get it going. The physical exhaustion form Tuesday nights big win vs Illinois took a toll on the team tonight. Purdue will get some rest, get it together, learn from this loss and be ready for the stretch run of the season. Maryland is up next on Sunday at Mackey.
