Indiana Football adds 19 during early signing period

Indiana head football coach Tom Allen announced today the signing of 19 student-athletes to National Letters of Intent to play for the Hoosiers in 2019. Today opened college football’s early signing period, which will run through Friday, Dec. 21.

The class features four four-star prospects: running back Sampson James (ESPN, Rivals, 247Sports), defensive back Tiawan Mullen (Rivals), defensive lineman Beau Robbins (ESPN, Rivals, 247Sports) and linebacker Cameron Williams (Rivals, 247Sports). Quarterback Jack Tuttle, a Utah transfer and mid-year enrollee, was a 2018 four-star prospect (Rivals and 247Sports). Long snapperSean Wracher is a five-star prospect (KohlsKicking.com).

IU signed nine defensive players, six offensive players, two athletes, one offensive/defensive lineman and one long snapper. Indiana added five defensive linemen, two defensive backs and two linebackers on defense, and two offensive linemen, two running backs, one tight end and one wide receiver on offense.

Players signed from American Samoa, Canada (Ottawa, Ontario), and 11 different states, including four from Indiana, four from Florida, and one each from Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Wisconsin.

Offensive lineman Matthew Bedford, defensive lineman Juan Harris, James, offensive lineman Mike Katic and defensive backLarry Tracy III will enroll in spring semester classes and participate in practice.
