Purdue wins over Buffalo

Brooke Moore leads the way with 20 points.

The Boilermakers defeated Buffalo 82-70 at Makey Arena. Boilermaker guard Brooke Moore, lead in scoring with 20 points. The boilermakers shot 11 of 19 from 3-point land and had three players hit at least two.  Kayana Traylor and Brooke Moore played well together, scoring 37 of the Boilermakers points. The play of the two of them, on both ends of the floor, at the start of the second half increased the Boilermaker lead to 43-27. Tamara Farquhar had a 11 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists. Farquhar continues to impress since returning from her torn ACL last season.

Great defense on the part of Purdue helped to force Buffalo into committing 21 turnovers, which lead to 34 points. Dyaisha Fair, the Bulls leading scorer,  was held to only 5 points for the game. The Boilermakers look to continue the winning ways on Sunday at 2pm against Bowling Green, who is 3-0 for the season.
