BGFL Week 4 Preview

The Fort Wayne Wolverines who upset the defending BGFL champs the Michiana Thunderhawk’s in week three 6-0 look to do the same to the winless Joliet Bucs, but it would not be easy traveling the three-hour drive to Joliet just outside Chicago.

Once again, the Wolverine D would show up stopping the Buc offense for the whole game, and the Wolverines as a team would put up 20 points and that would be more than enough to secure a victory. The Wolverines who improve to 3-1 in the BGFL north hold first place, while some teams have yet to play the same amount of games.

They return home to Haven Hurst Park this weekend to play host to the Lake County warriors (2-1) and have forced 102 points to Fort Wayne’s 64 points but the Wolverine’s stingy defense has allowed 22 points in 4 games.

If the Wolverines can pull off a victory against Lake County, they can get a step closer to winning their division and securing a playoff spot and a high seed and hopefully home field advantage.
